Day 1

Pick up from Delhi and Transfer to Rishikesh along with Sightseeing (250 KMS/7 HRS)

Arrive at the New Delhi Railway Station and take a seven-hour drive to Rishikesh.  On arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy a leisurely evening. You can roam around the city and can feel the stillness in life there. Parmarth Niketan, Lakshman Jhoola, Ram Jhoola can be visited in the evening. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2

Rishikesh to Barkot (205 KMS/8 KMS)

Your char dham journey will start in the morning from Rishikesh. After the breakfast,  At around 10 am, post the registration process, you will proceed to Barkot, which is also known as the base point for Yamunotri and Gangotri. On arrival at Barkot, check-in to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure getting acclimatized for the high-altitude journey.

Day 3

Excursion to Yamunotri Temple (3.5 KMS Drive + 6 KMS one way trek)

At 6 am, carry your packed breakfast and take a drive to Janki Chatti. This is the place from where your trek (6km) to Yamunotri will start. If you don’t prefer trekking, you may opt for a pony or palki ride (on direct payment). After an ascent that offers beautiful views of the mountains around, you will reach the Yamunotri Temple. Here you can have a bath in the Jamunabai hot water spring. You’ll also come across other religious sites such as the Surya Kund and Divya Shila. Post the temple visit, at approx 3.30 pm, return to Barkot and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 4

Barkot to Harsil (180 KMS/7 HRS)

After the breakfast at the hotel, take a seven-hour drive to Harsil. A beautiful unexplored hill station of Uttarakhand, it is situated on the banks of the River Ganga. Harsil is also considered as a hidden jewel of Uttarakhand which offers eye capturing natural sights. Apart from the dense deodar forests, Harsil offers spellbinding views of the apple orchards. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 5

Gangotri Excursion and Transfer to Uttarkashi along with Sightseeing (125 KMS/7 HRS)

After the breakfast at the hotel at 8 am, take a drive to Gangotri. On arrival, you can take a dip in the holy River Ganga also known as Bhagirathi. Next, visit the Gangotri Temple where Goddess Ganga is believed to have touched the earth for the first time. This 18th century temple is dedicated to Goddess Ganga which is located near the sacred stone where king Bhagirath worshipped Lord Shiva. After this, proceed to Uttarkashi, which is another important pilgrimage center and has served as the meditational ground for many great sages over the years. On arrival, get ready for darshan at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, it is believed to be built by the sage Parshuram. The evening aarti will fill you with a different kind of energy. Located opposite to this temple is the Shakti Temple. Dedicated to Goddess Parvati, the temple is famous for the huge trishul it houses. Post the temple visit, enjoy an overnight accommodation in Uttarkashi.

Day 6

Transfer to Guptakashi / Sitapur (245 KMS/8 HRS)

After a wholesome breakfast at the hotel, take an eight-hour drive to your next destination of the trip, Guptakashi. Located on the way to Kedarnath, it is perched at an altitude of 1319m above the sea-level. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 7

Transfer to Kedarnath via Son Prayag (18 KMS Drive + 20 KMS Trek/7-8 HRS)

After an early breakfast at approx. 7 am, take a seven-hour drive to Sonprayag. From here, embark on a 20 km trek to Kedarnath. If walking a long distance doesn’t suit you, you can hire a palki or horse to reach the top (on direct payment). The trek route is along the Mandakini River amidst the shiny snow-capped mountain ranges. Taking every step towards Kedarnath will make you more devoted towards ‘Baba Kedarnath’. The pious environment of Kedarnath will rejuvenate you from within. On arrival, make yourself comfortable in the government camps/lodges and enjoy an overnight accommodation.

Day 8

Transfer to Guptakashi and Sightseeing (20 KMS Trek + 18 KMS Drive/6-7 HRS)

Wake up early morning at 4 am. After taking a holy bath, proceed for darshan at the Kedarnath Temple to participate in the ‘abhishek’. You can go to the garbh griha and worship the idol. Post darshan, come back to the camps for the breakfast (on direct payment). Post the breakfast, you can spend some time in leisure. The hard journey till the temple seems worth it once you feel the magical aura of the place. Take a bath in the hot spring of the temple and feel rejuvenated. Later, return to the camp and begin your descent to Sonprayag. From here, take a return drive to Guptakashi. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 9

Transfer to Badrinath and Sightseeing (230 KMS/8 HRS)

After the breakfast at the hotel, take an eight-hour drive to Badrinath. The drive takes you through the Hindu pilgrimage sites of Ukhimath, Chopta and Joshimath. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and relax for a while. Later, proceed for the darshan at the Badrinath Temple. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is perched along the banks of the River Alaknanda. After attending the temple aarti, return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 10

Transfer to Srinagar along with Sightseeing (195 KMS/7 HRS)

Wake up early morning; take a bath in Tapt Kund and proceed for a darshan of the Lord Badri Vishal. Post the darshan, you can enjoy the various attractions around. These include Mana village, the last Indian village before Tibet; Vyas Gufa, where sage Vyas scripted the Hindu epic Mahabhartha; Charan Paduka, where you can find Lord Vishnu’s footprints. The other attractions include Narad Kund, Bhim Pul and Vishnuprayag. Post visiting these places, take a drive to Srinagar via Rudraprayag. On arrival, check-in to your hotel and enjoy an overnight stay.

Day 11

Devprayag Excursion and Transfer to Haridwar (165 KMS/6 HRS)

This is the last day of your char dham yatra. After the breakfast, take a six-hour drive to Haridwar via Devprayag. One of the panch prayags, Devprayag is the place where the rivers Alaknanda and Bhagirathi meet. On arrival at Devprayag, visit the Raghunathji Temple. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu, the temple is believed to be built in the 8th century. Post the darshan, resume your journey to Haridwar from where you will depart.
